Custom Designs
Custom cakes and custom decorated sugar cookies are works of art. Therefore, the work of another decorator will not be copied due to copyright and trademark laws. However, the design will be as similar as possible. Every attempt is made to provide the design as requested, including matching colors. Although it may not be possible to match an exact shade, it will be as close as possible. The final product may be subject to slight variations. Also, be aware that exposure to light can cause colors to change. There are no discounts or refunds if the exact shade of a color is not achieved, or if a variation occurs due to lighting. If a major variation needs to be made, you will be notified to discuss a re-design.
Color Disclaimer
Although every attempt is made to provide the design as requested including matching colors, it is not always possible. The final product may be subject to slight variations. Every attempt to match requested colors will be made. However, some colors, especially unique colors, are not guaranteed to match the requested color and may appear different than they appear on paper or an electronic device.
Jordet’s Homemade Delights makes no guarantees that color fade or bleed will not occur. Some colors, especially vibrant colors, have the tendency to fade or bleed into the surrounding colors of the chosen frosting/icing due to color instabilities. Furthermore, cakes and decorated sugar cookies should not be left in sunlight for more than 10 minutes, as outside factors can result in color fade, color bleed, and melting.
At times, Cacao (Chocolate) is used when creating black frosting to deter the aftertaste from the black dye. Please consider this when ordering if you or a guest has an allergy to chocolate. You agree to the risk and hold Jordet’s Homemade Delights, LLC harmless for allergic reactions.
Certain food coloring, oil-based colors, gel colors, powder colors, and dyes may contain glycerol, natural and artificial colors, lecithin, meringue powder, corn or corn derivatives, chemicals, sulfites, MSG, natural and artificial flavorings, or preservatives. It is the responsibility of the customer to inform Chef Dr. Gidget of any allergies to these products.
When dark colors are used in cakes, frostings/icings, and airbrushed details, the product may bleed onto lighter colors and may stain linens, clothing, furniture, hands, teeth, and mouth. You agree to notify your guests of this risk and hold Jordet’s Homemade Delights, LLC harmless for any reactions.
Edible Ink
Edible inks (food-safe inks) are used to print images and vary in color. Some colors may not print with the shades that appear on a computer screen. Edible image ink colors may vary due to the printers used, but the colors will produce a superior image when absorbed with the frosting. When edible ink products are used, there is no guarantee that edible image colors will exactly match requested colors.
