Pastry Chef Life

Transitioning into the role of a pastry chef has been an exhilarating yet demanding journey. While I acquired invaluable insights and expertise through Escoffier’s online program, much of my growth has stemmed from independent learning and exploration. Thankfully, my inherent passion for research has propelled me forward; I’ve delved into numerous books, devoured countless videos, and experimented with an array of recipes to deepen my understanding of baking and decoration techniques. Along this path, I’ve encountered certain confections that have posed formidable challenges—macarons, in particular, remain my ongoing nemesis! Nonetheless, fueled by my unwavering dedication and thirst for knowledge, I remain committed to advancing my skills and expertise as a pastry chef, eagerly embracing each opportunity for growth and refinement.

Advancing My Skills

Starting in 2023, I expanded my learning by attending both online and in-person conferences, including Cookie-a-thon and Cookie Con in Orlando, Florida. I’ve also taken classes with the talented Timbo, an incredible artist known for his approachable demeanor and willingness to help others improve their skills. I completed his Donut Sundae Workshop and Hyper-Realistic Foods class in Atlanta, along with numerous online courses. I’m looking forward to continue learning from other outstanding pastry artists so that I can further enhance my skills and expertise.
